Community based Sponsorship
The EICWR is assisting members to engage in processing a sponsoring family, friends through the community-based refugee sponsorship in Canada program. Community Sponsor in Canada – allows individuals to directly engage in refugee resettlement efforts. Sponsors commit to providing financial, emotional and resettlement support to help newly arrived refugees to integrate into life in a new country.
Joint Eritrean muslim Kingston picnic

Diverse Eritrean communities gathered to celebrate unity and diversity in Kingston, Ontario.
The participating organizations and nonmembers of an organization were from Ottawa, Montreal, Kingston, Toronto (GTA), and Waterloo Region. The attendees were close to 900 people. The events were well organized and supported by the feedback received. Hence, as per the wishes of the members, the joint events are to be continued every year.
